Established in 1939 in Birmingham, England, Alwayse Engineering – the originator of the Ball Transfer Unit – has become an integral part of the material handling industry. The name Alwayse derives from the multi-directional nature of the company’s units, which move in all directions enabling the easy transfer of both light and heavy loads, enabling the direction of motion to change instantly. Whether used for loading or feeding machines, moving goods or materials, as an alternative to a castor or in the form of linear operations, Always units provide an important and essential service in industries and applications throughout the world. Ranging from the smallest precise movement of a computer chip to the movement of a 50-tonne press tool, Alwayse units can be incorporated into highly diversified applications, with endless possibilities.

Glass processing
Alwayse Float-On and Ball Transfer Units have been the material handling market leaders in the glass processing industry for many years. Most applications can be accomodated. If the company does not have a unit to suit a specific application, it can make a bespoke product.

Ball transfer units
Alwayse Ball Transfer Units (BTUs) can be manufactured in Nylon Phenolic or steel load balls. Housings are available in a Bright Zinc Plate finish and Stainless Steel/Inox.
