Sika introduces new adhesive/sealant
Sika Corporation, supplier of innovative adhesive and sealant solutions, announces the launch of Sikaflex®-232US, the adhesive/sealant for transportation and industrial assembly applications.

New Sikaflex®-232US is a non-sag, one-component polyurethane adhesive and sealant with high initial green strength that cures to form a durable elastomer.  It has been developed for bonding applications where high green strength is required to improve the assembly process in many applications including transportation, trailers, industrial assembly, and field installation. Once cured, this elastic bonding adhesive is capable of withstanding high dynamic stresses and also provides excellent vibration damping, to help reduce structure-borne
noise. SSikaflex®-232US offers excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates and can be overpainted, making it a versatile choice across a broad range of applications.

“With its excellent green strength and sag resistance, Sikaflex®-232US allows
manufacturers to reduce and even eliminate mechanical fasteners,” said Mark
Daniels, Vice President, Industry Transportation and Appliance and Components. “Due to its compatibility with a wide array of substrates, it allows engineers a
high degree of design flexibility. This also helps in overall improvement of
assembly process.”

Sikaflex®-232US is offered in 300 ml cartridges and 600 ml unipacs.
