MAIN PRODUCTS
GM-CNC-III CNC Glass Work Centre
Glassman’s GM-CNC-III CNC Glass Work Centre is a high-tech machine able to perfectly perform complicated processes in a short time, guaranteeing high quality of the finished glass. GM-CNC-III applies numerical control to achieve dynamic management of each axis and speed precision control. The flexibility of the control system solves the requirements of different products. The whole processing can be finished automatically without any human interference.
GM-CNC-III is suitable to process furniture glass, construction glass and auto glass, with functions such as: drilling, milling, internal and external grinding and polishing, writing, shaped notching, engraving.
Structure
Loading and unloading glass to and from the GM-CNC-III is straight forward since it is an open top machine. The movable bridge is made of welded structural steel, and is equipped with an X-axis driven structure. The X-, Y- and Z axes are driven by high-precision ball screw and slip on the line position of the slide way, while the C-axis is a rotating axis. The Y- and Y1 axes are synchronous, and are both equipped with servomotors, and driven by slide way and ball screw.
Advantages of this structure include:
• extremely rigid structure;
• high accelerations, with maximum speed up to 15 m/min;
• high processing speed and high quality;
• low abrasion, and, therefore, the machine maintains high quality over time.
Work table
The work table is made of hard aluminium alloy, and has air control stations, each with relative compressed air pipe and vacuum pipe, convenient for operators in the loading and unloading glass.
Tool Setter
The machine is equipped with a small automatic tool setter, which can measure various tools horizontally (radius of tool) and vertically (height of tool), with the following advantages:
• no need for manual operator measurement, improved automation level;
• reduced damage to product quality or machine caused by incorrect human operation;
• operator can set reasonable times of tool setting according to the type of tools;
• automatic adjustment function during polishing, with guaranteed polishing quality, especially in mass production.
Numerical Centre
The Numerical Centre integrates a professional numerical system and Windows operation platform, facilitating human-computer interaction.
The main features of the system:
• possibility of editing PC programmes with machine up and running;
• simple and easy interface;
• CD-COM and USB drive, the machine is able to store and transfer data conveniently;
• keyboard and mouse;
• Internet connection via PC;
• remote assistance via modem.
CAD/CAM Software
Thanks to cooperation with software company Cimatron, Glassman has developed specific software for its glass processing machinery. Cimatron has already established distributing agencies in 35 countries around the world, offering technical support for pre- and postsales. Using Cimatron software can shorten CNC glass processing preparation time by 25 per cent, making the machine more intelligent and easier to use.
Electric System
Installed according to European CE standards, the electric cabinet is separate from the machine and is equipped with a waterproof device on the connector of the electric parts and a cooling fan. The servomotors of each axis are without carbon brushes. Standard voltage is 380V/50HZ and is flexible according to different requirement.
GM-BKH-II CNC WORK STATION
The GM-BKH-II is a high-tech CNC workstation for engraving on flat glass. It is able to transfer the CAD drawing directly, and create the optimized tool route automatically. Thanks to the international advanced numerical control system Swiss NUM, dynamic management of each axis and precise speed control can be achieved. The spindle and the body of the machine are designed to fit the engraving function and the interaction of the PC and System guarantee high precision processed corners and lines. The flexibility of the control system can fulfil the requirements of different products and automatic processing. Structure and Numerical Centre As for the GM-CNC-III, the GM-BKH-II is an open top machine installed with Numerical Control with the same features and advantages.
CAD/CAM Software
Super CAM drawing application software can run on Windows XP and more updated operation platforms. The software is easy to study and use, with functions enabling convenient transmission, drawing and creation of the work programme. Irregular shapes can be made by CAD software, while other drawings created by CAD system (such as DXF file of AUtoCAD) can also be transmitted.
GM-BYM- VI SHAPED GLASS BEVELLING MACHINE
The GM-BYM- VI is a horizontal fully automatic shaped glass bevelling machine (no need for templates), suitable to process glass with thicknesses from 5 to 30 millimetres bevel edge angle range of 0-45°. Functions of the GMBYM- VI include continuous shapes without corners; shape with corners; diamond-shaped bevel; Processing to match straight-line bevelling machines.
Structure
The GM-BYM- VI is a cantilevered structure shaped glass processing machine with a castironbase ensuring durability and eliminating distortions. The structure of the main body and rotating arm are made of aluminium alloy, with basic elements ensuring processing precision and solid strength of the main body. Rotating Work Table, Vacuum Suction Cups The work table is multifunctional and adjustable, equipped with four vacuum suction cups for the processing of standard shaped glass. Thanks to the positioning points, the same glass can be located on the work table easily and simply, making it suitable for mass production.
Water and Cerium Circuits
The supply systems for water and cerium are totally separated. After processing, water and cerium can be collected in different containers. The inside of the containers uses filter and collection design, which ensure the water and cerium can be reused.
Control Panel
GM-BYM-VI is equipped with a powerful Omron PLC so that all machine functions can be easily managed. The machine is ready for operations as soon as the processing parameters have been input. The same parameters can be saved and re-used, without the need to re-enter. GM-BYM-VI is not only suitable for mass production, but can also handle small production batches with one machine.
Electric Equipment
The power board is designed according to strict CE quality and safety standards, with main characteristics including:
• interconnections with the machine panel completely implemented with sealed connectors;
• safety equipment for emergency stops;
• resistance to high room temperatures and humidity percentage ensured by the quality of the components and the cooling unit, powered by filtered and pressurized air.
GM-BZX-VI WORK CENTRE
The high-tech GM-BZX-VI work centre ensures high quality results of complicated work, achieving dynamic management and precise control of each axis.
GM-BZX-VI can automatically process complex drilling, milling, arrissing etc., on largesized flat glass, as well as structural glass such as frameless shower doors, glass curtain walls, etc.
The main structure is made of welded steel, and the drive system of the V- and Y-axes is located in the two bridges of the main body. Moreover, the structure is extremely rigid to achieve high accelerations; with high precision ball screw to achieve high quality products; and with low abrasion, the machine maintains high quality after many years of use.
ELECTRO-SPINDLE
The electro-spindle of the Glassman work centre has the following features:
• spindle motor with maximum constant torque output and power of 7.5 KW, thus enabling the torque to reach 25 Nm and even the speed of 12,000 r.p.m., improving processing speed and enabling to use the wheel in large diameter;
• specialized high-precision electro-spindle reduces the motor’s inertia after high-speed rotating and improves the speed of each axis;
• highly improved internal water cooling of tools through the centre of the spindle.
CAD/CAM SOFTWARE
Thanks to the use of CAD/CAM software, machine operations are more flexible and simpler. SUPER CAM drawing application software can be executed on Windows XP or other advanced systems, facilitating drawing and work processes.
