Centrifuges are among the most important parts of equipment of today’s glassworks – especially with regards to ecology and protecting the environment. FORZA G® gives us an idea of how its recent updates and developments can really make a difference – also on machinery maintenance costs and performance.

FORZA G®: staying abreast of the times
iClean – a new centrifuge
FORZA G® will be launching three new models of its tried and tested centrifuges this year. This decision was made due to the increasing number of requests for the T6M series, which has been updated and improved, to meet today’s market needs and demands.

New features, updates and improvements
The iClean series includes three models with centrifuge: CT6M iClean, CT6M iClean + PVC and CT6M iClean + Inox. These three models have the same machine design, with AISI 304 stainless steel used for all structural components of the centrifuge, while only the external parts of the elements are painted.
The rotor assembly has been completely revolutionized, on which the closing of the cover has been simplified using quick release couplings; the drum is self-draining, which means that the water remaining at the centre of the rotor when still is eliminated. The sludge-collecting drum has also been changed and now has greater ease of extraction; the rotor assembly has been simplified and the bearings can be replaced even by inexperienced mechanics.
Rotation speed has been increased, along with higher separation accuracy – reaching two microns, and flow has been increased by 100 per cent.
The electrical panel of all models now include a process timer, along with a buzzer, while all motors, transmission and pumps use variable frequency drive. Last, but not least, the liquid recovery system has been simplified.
The design of the centrifuge has remained the same to enabl...
